Description

Established in 1892 and commandeered as headquarters by the British during the Anglo-Boer war, this historic country hotel is the ideal half-way stop between Durban and Johannesburg.

Situated at the top of Van Reenen's Pass, a warm welcome is offered to all guests who are inspired with the old grandeur and feel relaxed and at home. The a la carte restaurant is renowned for its excellent cuisine.

Accommodation

Accommodation for 40 guests in en-suite bedrooms. The historic Little Church is within walking distance. Many of the battlefields, including Spioenkop, are nearby. Bass and trout fishing in the area.

The Half-Way Noggin Pub with its cosy fireplace, is a popular meeting place for all. Many sportsmen have donated personal items of sentimental value which adorn the walls.
