The chalets all have en-suite bathrooms with wonderful oval baths and picture windows. Each has a private verandah with two large swing chairs and great views of the waterhole or the indigenous bushveld.. Location: The Nambiti Conservancy is situated 25 km's east of Ladysmith.It is a private Big Five bush retreat and game conservancy set on 20,000acres of malaria-free bushveld in KwaZulu Natal. It has an incredible biodiversity including savannah, grasslands, thornveld and tall acacia trees. The Sundays River flows through the reserve and has two 40-metre waterfalls with magnificent ravine bush, home to several rare bird species. The Nambiti Conservancy has three times the carrying capacity of regions like Botswana and is the only reserve in the region with the big five. We currently have over thirty other species of game including giraffe, hippo, hyena, impala, springbok, and zebra. There are several well stocked dams in the reserve and fishing is allowed. The Lodge is close to various Anglo-Boer battlefield sites and to the San Rock Art. Tours to these locations can be arranged. DirectionsHead for Ladysmith on the N3 and then the R103. When you arrive in Ladysmith, drive straight through, following the N11 Road to Newcastle. From the last traffic lights leaving Ladysmith travel for ± 7kms. Turn Right onto the D45 Road, follow for ± 10Km’s, at the Y-Junction turn right, travel along side the game fence for 2 Km until you reach the gate-house which is staffed. You will then be transferred to the Lodge.FacilitiesLarge indoor bar facility, indoor dining area, lounge with freestanding fireplace, and rock pool.
